Municipal 2023 Election Results
Fairfield's Representative Town Meeting approved new voting districts for the town this year as required by state statute and the town charter. As a result, you may be in a new district, and the polling place where you vote may have been changed.

- In order to take part in elections, be sure to register to vote.
- If you will not be able to make it to the polls on the day of an election, primary, or referendum, you may request an absentee ballot. Absentee voting is permitted for any of the following reasons: physical disability, absence from the town during all of the hours of voting, or religious tenets which forbid secular activity on Election Day.

About the Office of the Registrars of Voters
The Office of the Registrars of Voters is a full-time Town department that maintains the records for over 36,000 Fairfield voters, and administers all election events in accordance with State and Federal law.
The Registrars are elected to four-year terms in Presidential election years. One Registrar is elected from each of the major parties.
Other personnel include a full-time administrative secretary, Deputy Registrars, and a large number of polling place officials that work at each election.
