The Fairfield Police and Fire Departments respond to thousands of emergencies and calls for service each year and exist to protect and ensure the safety of Fairfield's residents and visitors. The Police and Fire Departments work around the clock to serve a community with more than 32 miles of residential, commercial and industrial properties, over five miles of shoreline, two college campuses and more than 60,000 residents.
