The Police & Fire Retirement Board is responsible for the investment and administration of the retirement plan for police officers and firefighters.


The Police & Fire Retirement Board generally meets on fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:55 pm, both virtually and in a conference room in The Honorable John J. Sullivan Independence Hall, 725 Old Post Road.  All schedules and locations are subject to change. Please check the Town Meetings Calendar for cancellations or location changes.

The Police and Fire Retirement board are trustees of the retirement fund created under the existing police and fire retirement system for regular police officers and firefighters employed by the town. The Board has full control and management of that fund with the power to invest and reinvest in accordance with general statutes governing the investment of trust funds.

Powers and Duties

The Police and Fire Retirement Board is responsible for assuring that the administration of the retirement plan remains in strict accordance with plan documents.
