On Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Penfield Pavilion, 323 Fairfield Beach Road, the Fairfield Town Plan and Zoning Department, in partnership with the Fairfield Flood and Erosion Control Board, held a public meeting concerning sea level rise and its impacts on Fairfield and Long Island Sound.

The meeting, which was well-attended, was held as part of the Plan and Zoning Commission’s outreach efforts in updating the Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD).
The Plan and Zoning Commission and Department staff will schedule future POCD meetings in the coming months on topics such as transit-oriented development, open space and conservation, infrastructure, housing, and economic development as required by state statute. Community members are encouraged to participate in these meetings. Additional information will be provided as new meetings are scheduled.
