Fairfield Town Hall is currently CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC until further notice. In an effort to continue to provide services while adhering to social distancing directives, the Tax Collector's Office will have staff available to respond to telephone and email inquiries, and to process online and mailed payments during that time. Tax bills, tax records, and receipts will be available at no charge via email to all residents, attorneys, and title searchers.
The office is available (M-F 8:30 to 4:30) ONLY by phone at 203-256-3101 and via email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Tax Collector's Office understands that our taxpayers may be in various stages of financial health due to COVID-19. Any decision regarding programs or assistance to address the upcoming April tax collection period would have to be made at the state level. If any ruling is made, we will communicate this to the public immediately on the town website. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this unprecedented time. Stay safe and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
