Although there may still be some small amounts of snow through this afternoon, the majority of the winter storm has moved out of the area. The travel ban on local roads has been lifted but we encourage residents to stay off the roadways while the Department of Public Works continues to clear snow from roadways and treat slippery conditions. We still ask that vehicle not be parked on the streets to allow for the clearing of snow.

As of this morning the shelter has been closed. There are also no reported power outages for the Town of Fairfield at this time. If you do loose power, please contact United Illuminating at 1-800-722-5584.   Town Hall and all municipal offices will re-open tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28.
