Many of us just received a flash flood warning on our cell phones. This warning means that excessive runoff from heavy rainfall may cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots. In Fairfield this might mean under Metro North overpasses, in areas near streams and the coast.
Do not drive through standing water!
