Hazard Mitigation Grant Program

In August 2013 the Town of Fairfield announced the availability of the flood Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), administered by the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, to assist homeowners with the cost of elevating their homes above the base flood elevation to reduce future flood losses.  The grant program had limited funding and awards were made on a competitive basis. The deadline for applications was October 18, 2013.  All funding has been awarded.
