The Town of Fairfield, Purchasing Department, is conducting this public bid opening event via teleconference only.

Please Note: If you call to listen to the public bid opening event, you will not be heard by the Town of Fairfield, Purchasing Department staff and there will be no live public comment. 

The bid results for this solicitation shall be posted to the Town of Fairfield’s website with 1-2 business days of the bid opening.

The Governor of the State of Connecticut declared a state of emergency on March 10, 2020, due to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019), and public health officials currently recommend people avoid assembling together in groups of five (5) or more to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19. 

Based on this public gathering restriction, all Town of Fairfield’s public bid openings have been cancelled. Instead, the Town of Fairfield’s  Purchasing Department will “broadcast” the bid opening on a telephone conference call line so that bidders, prospective bidders, and other persons may listen to the bid opening event. 

This change in procedure is intended to help protect the health and safety of the public and the Town of Fairfield employees during the COVID-19 outbreak in Connecticut.”
