Town of Fairfield News
4/6/2023 - POCD Public Engagement Opportunity
Your input is needed on the Fairfield Plan of Conservation and Development. The town is hosting an Open House on Thursday, April 20th to present draft recommendations and get your feedback.
The Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) is our Town’s guide for the future. It shows where we have been and lays out the vision for where we are going. Everyone in our community has a stake in this plan, and we encourage everyone to participate in creating it. The plan includes input from past public engagement efforts and recommendations for how to make Fairfield:
• A Resilient Community
• An Environmentally Rooted Community
• A Community that is Home for All
• A Sustainably Prosperous Community
• An Interconnected Community
• A Community Where People Come Together
If you have previously participated in POCD in-person and virtual workshops, this is your opportunity to see that we have heard you correctly and to suggest changes before a draft is written. If you have never participated before, you can still provide meaningful input that will shape the recommendations.
If you have any questions, please contact Jim Wendt (JWendt@fairfieldct.org) or Emmeline Harrigan (EHarrigan@fairfieldct.org).
