The Board of Selectmen (BOS) will hold two special meetings the week of July 27th and a possible third special meeting the week of July 4th regarding the Charter Revision Commission's recommended revisions to the Town Charter.
The first special BOS meeting will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 to discuss the Charter Revision Commission's (CRC's) proposed revisions and to take public comment, if time permits.
The second special BOS meeting - a Public Hearing - will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 to receive public comment and have the BOS vote on suggested Charter changes.
Further deliberations, if necessary, based on public testimony, will take place at a Special BOS meeting on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, Time TBD.
Monday, June 27, 2022 – 4:00 pm – Special BOS meeting – BOS to hear a presentation* from the CRC Commission and Attorney Steve Mednick, Counsel to the CRC, on the CRC Report and Recommendations for initial BOS consideration, review, deliberation and action followed by public comment, if time permits. (A Full Public Hearing for Public Comment will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 5:30 pm). The June 27th meeting will be virtual only, via Webex. Here are the agenda and backup for this meeting.
Wednesday, June 29, 2022 – 5:30 pm – Public Hearing/Special BOS meeting – Public Hearing to receive comments from the public on the CRC's June 13, 2022 Report and Recommendations for revisions to the Town Charter followed by a special BOS meeting which entails continued consideration, review, deliberation and action on the CRC Report and Recommendations for revisions to the Town Charter. The June 29th Public Hearing is being held both in person in the First Floor Conference Room in Independence Hall, 725 Old Post Road, and via Webex. Here are the agenda and backup for this meeting.
Tuesday, July 5, 2022 - Time TBD -Further deliberations, if necessary, based on public testimony, will take place at a special BOS meeting on this date.
