11/5 Update:
There are four contests within the 0.5% / 20-vote margin that requires a post-election review of ballots under CT General Statutes section 9-311a. Accordingly, there will be a public recanvass event on Tuesday, November 9th at 9am, which will be held at the Fairfield Senior Center.
Those wishing to observe the recanvass are welcome to attend. Only sworn election officials will be permitted to actively participate in the process.
The recanvass will examine the ballots in districts 2, 6, and 9 for votes in the Representative Town Meeting contest; a fourth recanvass (for Town Plan and Zoning Commission Alternate) was declined by the eligible candidate.
