3/17/2015 - Town & Chamber Announce Details on Upcoming Shop & Stroll into Spring Event
First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the public is invited to take part in the upcoming “Shop & Stroll Into Spring” event on Thursday, March 26, 2015. The event is being co-presented by the Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
Participating shops throughout Fairfield will stay open late and will offer patrons an assortment of complimentary hors d’oeuvres and seasonal refreshments from 5 pm to 9 pm. Local restaurants will be offering dinner or drink specials throughout the evening. “This is a great opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring, support our local businesses and enjoy a fun night out with family and friends,” said First Selectman Mike Tetreau.
To help busy parents enjoy a carefree night out, Tumble Jungle of 111 Black Rock Turnpike will be hosting a “Kid’s Night Out” from 5-8PM on the 26th for children ages 3-12 so that moms and dads can go out, shop, and enjoy their night! The cost is $30 per child and $20 for any additional siblings. Pizza will be included for dinner, and the kids will play games in the gym, do arts and crafts, go zip lining, use all of Tumble Jungle’s inflatables and more. For music lovers, the Old Post Tavern will be featuring Benny Mikula, lead singer for The Alpaca Gnomes, who will be playing solo acoustic originals and covers of all genres from 8-11PM.
Need to relax and unwind after a day of shopping? The Spa at Delamar will be offering free Chair massages from 5pm-9pm, while Artisan Restaurant will be serving prosecco and sweet treats until 9PM.
