First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the newly formed Election Process Review Committee is seeking input from the public on the recent local Election that was held on November 4, 2014. Residents are being asked to email the Committee with any problems or concerns they had encountered during the November election. Suggestions for improving the Election Day process are also encouraged.
The Committee’s email is Election2014@fairfieldct.org or the public can mail a letter to the First Selectman’s Office, c/o Election Process Review Committee, 725 Old Post Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. It is recommended comments be submitted by early January.
In addition, the Committee will hold a meeting on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 5 pm in the 2nd Floor Conference Room in Independence Hall, 725 Old Post Road, for the public to attend to voice their concerns and ideas.
The Election Process Review Committee was recently approved by the Board of Selectmen after numerous issues were raised during the local election this past November. The Committee will review these issues and the recent Election Day process. The Selectmen approved a Charge and a four member committee with two members representing the Republican Party and two members representing the Democratic Party.
Committee members are Catherine Albin, Bryan Cafferelli, Ronald Pine and James Quinn.
