First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the Town of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce are pleased to once again co-sponsor the annual Fairfield Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair which will be held, Rain or Shine, in Fairfield Center on Saturday, July 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Select merchants will offer a preview of sale merchandise at their store beginning Thursday, July 19.

More than 75 Fairfield businesses are expected to participate in this year’s event, setting up booths on Sherman Green and offering a variety of merchandise for sale along the Post Road, from the Heritage Square Shopping Center to the Promenade at the Brick Walk. Admission is free.

Activities for children and families will take place on Sherman Green where an inflatable bounce house, face-painting and balloon artist are all planned. This year’s Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair will also feature live musical entertainment at multiple venues throughout downtown. A full event line-up will be unveiled in the next several weeks.
