First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the Board of Selectmen (BOS) is seeking qualified Fairfield residents who are interested in being considered for appointment to the Mill Hill Elementary School Building Committee. The Committee is being established to plan, coordinate and supervise necessary upgrading and renovation of Mill Hill Elementary School.
In particular, the BOS seeks residents with experience as architects, engineers, project managers, those in construction-related professions, as well as anyone with an interest in helping to assure the best outcome for the Town. The BOS seeks to put together a balanced team with relevant professional experience who can assure the greatest value added to any potential project undertaken by the Town.
Selected building committee candidates will be asked to appear before both the BOS and the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) for approval. Members of the building committee can expect to serve for an extended period of time, likely no less than two years, and through the close out of the project.
