The Town of Fairfield expects to receive a limited supply of at-home rapid test kits from the State this week and has a plan to distribute them to Fairfield residents once they are received. The State has advised that there has been a delay in receiving the test kits and that distribution to the towns may be delayed. Fairfield still expects to receive approximately 7700 test kits with each kit containing two tests. A separate test kit distribution for school age children will occur after the first of the year. In addition, test kits are expected to be provided to the public in January from Federal sources. Please check the town's homepage for updates tomorrow after 8am.
While demand for testing is very high at this time, testing resources include local testing sites, State sponsored testing sites throughout the state and numerous other locations in the area.
