“Staying Healthy: For Caregivers & Those Being Cared For”
Rachel Yurdin, Clinical Social Worker for Rehabilitation Associates, Inc.
Caregiving is a very important topic that most people will need to tackle at some point in their life. When it comes to diabetes, a caregiver can provide valuable support to ensure that the person being cared for manages their diabetes and reduces their risk of diabetes-related health complications. Come learn about helpful strategies for being an effective diabetes caregiver (as well as how to manage being on the other side of the equation as the receiver of care). We will address communication strategies, making the most of contacts with healthcare providers and, of course, dealing with the diabetes police!
