After a discussion with the First Selectman, and based on the recent test results from Gould Manor Park, we have decided to exercise an abundance of caution by closing the following fields that are on the designated testing list pending their test results:

• All Burroughs Soccer Fields
• Dougiello Softball Field
• Oldfield Soccer Field
• South Pine Creek Soccer Field
• Sullivan Football Field
• Town Hall Soccer Field
• Lower Tunxis Hill Soccer/Baseball field

These sites are on the Fill Use testing priority list and we will keep them closed until we have the results of the current testing. The remaining school sites on the priority list have already been closed by the Board of Education. My office will be reaching out directly to any group that had a permit in place.
