Announcing the Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting of Post Oak Barbecue Co. - 93 Post Road, Fairfield
Fairfield, CT - The Town of Fairfield’s Office of Community & Economic Development is pleased to announce the official grand opening of Post Oak Barbecue Co., located at 93 Post Road in Fairfield. The First Selectwoman, Brenda L. Kupchick, Community and Economic Development Director, Mark Barnhart, Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President, Beverly Balaz, State Senator Tony Hwang, and State Representative, Jennifer Leeper, joined pit boss, Steve Garrett and managing partner, Eric Patterson in celebrating the grand opening of their location in Fairfield with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 31st.
Post Oak Barbecue Co. combines over 100 years of passionate restaurant experience of partners Steve Garrett, Elaine Chao, and Eric Patterson, bringing the highest quality, wood-smoked barbecue to Connecticut. With an eye on sourcing local and with pit-mastery skills honed in Texas, Post Oak Barbecue Co. presents authentic barbecue with a unique Asian and southwestern flair. The pit boss, Steve Garrett, stated they chose Fairfield because “we were looking for a space that was unique and a town with a diverse commitment to providing quality foods and exceptional service.”
Post Oak Barbecue Co. is open Tuesday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday & Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There are lots of delicious options, but be sure to try the Big Texan sandwich, which includes Texas style brisket and hickory smoked sausage, the Post Oak supreme fries with house made Texas chili and brisket confit, the smoked BBQ baked beans or the parsnip based coleslaw, and lastly, the North Carolina pulled pork.
