7/3/2017 - Musical Line-up set for Fairfield Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair Event - July 22nd

The Annual Fairfield Sidewalk Sale and Street Fair returns July 22nd with an exciting new lineup of performances that showcase the best of Fairfield’s local arts community. The event will be held, rain or shine, from 10 AM until 4PM on Saturday, July 22nd in downtown Fairfield, and will feature performances at five different venues along the Post Road.  Photo of Nick Semenykhin & Amanda Bellitto.

Brick Walk Promenade Stage

11AM–1PM Julia McGonagle - Grand Prize Winner of the First Annual Caroline Jones Acoustic Contest, Julia is known for her original songs and acoustic styling.

2PM-4PM Melissa Wasserman – Berklee student and Fairfield University Bookstore favorite Melissa has a style all her own that combines elements of pop, folk, and country music.

Heritage Square/1700 Post Road Stage

11AM-1PM That Virginia – Brazilian singer/songwriter Virginia Semeghini’s deep and powerful music draws from her tropical roots and passion for performing.

2PM-4PM Morningbird - Morningbird is an Alternative/Indie Rock band, mixing classic rock influences with modern textures and sounds.

Community Theater Stage

11AM-1PM Joseph Kiernan – jazz musician and teacher Joseph Kiernan brings years of performing experience to the stage with lively stylings.

2PM-4PM Bob & Dave Band – Fairfield favorites for ten years, Bob & Dave play a wide selection of popular music accompanied by guitar, fiddle, and mandolin.

Miller Street/Post Road Stage

11AM-1PM Jim Magrath – a returning Sidewalk Sale favorite, Jim covers standards of all genres on the flute.

2PM-4PM Amanda Bellitto & Nick Semenykhin – Vocalist Amanda and jazz guitarist Nick are both veteran performers in Fairfield County and New York City. Together they cover popular songs as well as perform original compositions.

Sherman Green Gazebo

11AM-12PM Fairfield Teen Theater – FTT will be presenting a preview of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a musical based on the beloved characters created by Charles Addams. Wednesday Addams, now all grown up, has fallen in love with *gasp* a nice, ‘normal’ man. Hilarity and chaos ensues as the quirky Addams clan processes this new addition and his family over a dinner party.

1PM-2:30PM Eric Derwallis’ LANDS Band - LANDS is an 7 member band that performs a unique blend of soul and jazz that’s both dynamic and powerful.

Over 75 vendors are expected to participate in this year’s Sidewalk Sale event, setting up stands and offering a variety of merchandise for sale along the Post Road from the Heritage Square Shopping Center to the Promenade at the Brick Walk. Sherman Green will feature activities for children and families, including an inflatable bounce house, face painting by “Put On a Happy Face” and balloon artistry by Robbie’s Pack, as well as character visits. Admission to the event is free.

Co-sponsored by the Town Of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, the Fairfield Sidewalk Sale and Street Fair could not take place without its local business participants and sponsors: Abbey Tent and Party Rentals, Bankwell, WEBE 108, Jaguar/Land Rover Fairfield, Trademark Fairfield, The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum and Heart Media Group/CT Post.
