The Town maintains a fleet of five buses all of which are equipped with wheel chair lifts. The buses are driven by careful, courteous, experienced drivers.
Buses are often used to pick up seniors, transport them to the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities, and return them home in the afternoon.
Buses can used to take those with demonstrated need to the local supermarkets, the main branch of the Public Library, and to scheduled doctor appointments. There is a very modest fee for each trip. To arrange for transportation, please phone our dispatcher at 203-256-3168.
For other transportation needs, the Human Services Department administers a contract with the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority to provide Para-transit services for the elderly and disabled.
