PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

THE SHELLFISH COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF FAIRFIELD, CONNECTICUT WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in the Second Floor Meeting Room of the Honorable John J. Sullivan Independence Hall, 725 Old Post Road Fairfield Connecticut on or about 7:30 p.m. to consider the following proposed amendment to the “Town of Fairfield Recreational Shellfishing Rules and Regulations” for the prohibition of oyster collection from June 1st through October 1st of calendar year.

A copy of the proposed changes to the “Town of Fairfield Recreational Shellfishing Rules and Regulations” is available for public review on the Town of Fairfield’s Conservation Department website and during normal business hours at the Conservation Department, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

AT THIS HEARING ALL INTERESTED PERSONS SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE HEARD AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVED.  THE EXISTING SHELLFISH FEE SCHEDULE, SHELLFISH MANAGEMENT PLAN AND RELATED MATERIALS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION AT THE CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT OFFICE, IN THE HONORABLE JOHN J. SULLIVAN INDEPENDENCE HALL, 725 OLD POST ROAD FAIRFIELD, CONNECTICUT.
