Beginning yesterday June 7th, the Conservation Department began cutting a large stand of the invasive Tree of Heaven on the Jennings dune at J1.  The work is expected to take 2-3 days and several invasive Spotted Lanternflies in the nymph stage were observed.  For additional information on the SLF, click on the "Archives" button and seek News posted on July 27, September 6, 8, 2022 and April 11, 2023.  The Department continues to maintain contact with the USDA Forest Service's Hamden office researchers on this matter.
