Yesterday, August 8, 2022, the Town of Fairfield Shellfish Commission honorably hosted a Connecticut Shellfish Restoration celebration and press conference.  The Commission was joined by the Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, members of USDA, NOAA, CTDEEP, DOAG, UCONN, Bureau of Aquaculture, The Pew Charitable Trust, State and local representatives and community environmental groups.  The conference included multiple speeches and a visual tour of the Shellfish Commission's oyster restoration efforts in Ash Creek.
