As a follow-up to our previous post on the spotted lanternfly (SLF), it's appropriate to discuss one of their favorite partners in crime, the Tree-of-Heaven (Ailanthus altissima). Found all over Fairfield, in backyards, roadsides and open space, this invasive plant is a favorite is a preferred host of the SLF. It's important to properly identify the species, as there are others that appear very similar.
