The Conservation Department teamed up with the Native Plant Trust and the CTDEEP to protect and monitor a species of rare native grass.  Aristida tuberculosa or Beach Needle Grass can be found on the CTDEEP's Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern Plants list HERE.  While little is known or written about the species, reportedly, there are only a few populations in just three Towns in the State and our own Jennings Beach is one of them.  A special thanks to the Parks & Recreation Department, Lauren Brown (NPT) and Bill Moorhead (CTDEEP) for working together with us.
