Update:

The installation of the automatic gate began at the entrance to the Lake Mohegan-Cascades site this morning.  The installation will take place over the next few weeks until the fully automatic gate is up and running.  We are working with United Illuminating to fulfill the gate's power needs and when operational, it will open and close on a timer, in accordance with Open Space Regulations.  The purpose of the gate is to control problematic after-hours activities in the space, including dumping of leaves and other yard waste.
