First Selectwoman Brenda L. Kupchick is pleased to announce additional details regarding the upcoming “Shop, Stroll and Love Local this Spring” event on Thursday, April 22, 2021 and invites the public to take part. The event is being hosted by the Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Sustainable Fairfield Task Force and Fairfield Moms.
Coinciding this year with Earth Day, participating shops in downtown Fairfield will be open 10 am to 9 pm, offering patrons an opportunity to browse, shop and truly Love Local with a variety of spring celebratory promotions. The first 100 shoppers to visit the Experience Fairfield tent on Sherman Green after 5 pm will receive a complimentary shopping bag with goodies inside. All COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place, with masks and social distancing required.
Weary shoppers can swing by Sherman Green to experience the Fireside Lounge and Relaxation Station, complete with portable fire pits and Adirondack chairs, courtesy of Outdoor Design & Living.
Fairfield Moms are again partnering with local restaurants to create a festive night out experience. The Chelsea, located at 12 Unquowa Place, will be offering 15% off to all shoppers. Cap off the evening at The Sinclair for additional drink and appetizer specials. The Sinclair is located at 1229 Post Road. Bodega Taco Bar Fairfield will also be offering their signature House Margaritas for $6 during the evening.
