11/7/2014 - Town Hosts Workshop to Help Businesses Reduce Costs
Business owners and commercial property owners recently gathered at the Fairfield Museum for a free, one hour workshop to learn how to reduce their building's operating costs through an innovative new financing mechanism that enables them to install qualifying energy upgrades with no money down. Called C-PACE, for Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy, the program allows owners to receive long term financing at very attractive interest rates to finance a range of energy-efficiency projects such as high-efficiency lighting and HVAC upgrades, envelope improvements and renewable energy systems. The Town of Fairfield is one of nearly 100 municipalities across the State that are participating in this program.
