11/21/2018 - AR Workshop DIY Craft Boutique Opens in Fairfield

Novice crafters and do-it-yourself enthusiasts alike can create high-end custom home décor and personalized gifts at AR Workshop® Fairfield, a new boutique DIY shop that offers a unique, fun experience for all ages and skill levels through instructor-led workshops. Workshop participants can create holiday designs, custom wood plank signs, framed signs, canvas pillows, round signs, trays, Lazy Susans, centerpiece boxes, canvas tote bags, specialty projects and more utilizing raw materials, a variety of non-toxic stain and paint colors, and stencils.  Project designs can be personalized with names, quotes and graphics, as well as the color scheme, to create beautiful one-of-a-kind artworks. The average time to complete a project is two and a half hours. Each customer will go home with a finished piece.

Michele Scholl and Jessica McCormack will open the first AR Workshop® in the state of Connecticut on November 18. As longtime neighbors and friends, the pair combined their backgrounds in interior design, sales and marketing to embark on their first entrepreneurial journey as co-owners of AR Workshop® Fairfield.  "We were searching for a business opportunity that was creative and entertaining," said McCormack. "We came across AR Workshop® on social media and knew immediately that this was it," she continued. "Michele and I are really excited to join the DIY movement and provide a place for friends and family to come together. Our workshop guests will not only build memories but also build beautiful décor for their homes."

In addition to open workshops and private or holiday events, summer camps for children will be offered next year. For more information on AR Workshop®Fairfield, located at 869 Post Road, call 203-295-0569 or visit https://www.arworkshop.com/Fairfield/
