1/3/2018 - DEMHS External Winter Storm Update - 1-3-18 at Noon

The NWS has posted a Winter Storm Watch for our area and a Winter Storm Warning for areas to our east. We are likely to receive 5 inches of snow but snowfall totals could be in the 6-12” range if the storm center continues to drift westward. As you can see in the chart below the temps will be in the 20’s tomorrow, winds in the mid 20’s by afternoon and gusts(mph) up to mid 40’s. Snowfall is likely from 3am to 4pm Thursday.

We will monitor the storm impacts and in particular the high tides 12:26 AM Thurs (7.4’) and 12:26pm Thurs (8.0’) as well as wind damage/power outages. Updates on snow totals and impact will be sent by email as necessary.
