Citizen Service Request System
The Town of Fairfield has implemented a Citizen Service Request System to handle non-emergency requests for service. This system enables town employees to efficiently and effectively assist you with local government service requests and general information.
The system allows you to electronically contact the appropriate department to report an issue (a pothole, light bulb out), request a service (vacation check, re-plowing), submit a complaint or compliment, or ask a question of a department. Photographs or supporting documents can be attached. You have the option to receive automatic emails with a status update of your service request. If you create an account you can see a history of all your service requests.
The system also includes a Knowledge Base where you can obtain answers to frequently asked questions such as recycling policies or how to obtain a beach sticker without submitting a service request. Please check the Knowledge Base before submitting a service request. Or if you prefer not to use the system, you are welcome to call us during regular business hours. When entering your Service Request please note the following:
- Personal Info - We recommend you create an account so you can see a history of all your service requests. And please provide a phone number in case we need to speak with you.
- Where - If your issue is with a town facility, type in the name of the facility in the Street box. Google maps should make suggestions for you.
- What - Select the most appropriate Service Request Type. For example "Report a Pothole" is an option under "Road Maintenance". If you don't find a Request Type that fits your issue, choose "Ask Us", select the First Selectman's Office (or another department), and staff will categorize your request for you.
- Details - Enter as much detail as possible and attach supporting documentation (e.g. photographs, letters) as appropriate.
