Fairfield has a number of sites to rent for your events: Private parties, fundraisers, meetings.
The Town provides locations for Non-Profit (501(c)(3)) Organizations for minimal cost. Those interested in hosting an event must contact the Parks and Recreation Office. Once a date has been discussed, a Special Event Application and send along a letter to the Parks & Recreation Commission for approval. Once received, and if necessary, your request will be placed on the Parks & Recreation Commission agenda for approval at its monthly meeting. If you plan to hold a walk or run or carnival or any event requiring Police Assistance, you should call the Fairfield Police and ask for the Officer in charge of Special Events (203) 254-4808. All Recreation approvals are contingent upon Police Department approval.
Some nonprofit meetings and events can also be held in available school spaces. Reservations information is available through the Board of Education. More information is available Board of Education Reservations.
Parties, Social Events, Fundraisers
Events can be held at the beach pavilions, on the beach, or on Sherman Green with the appropriate approval. More information on booking events is available at The Parks and Recreation Office.
The Fairfield Museum and History Center could be a perfect setting for a corporate presentation, dinner party, reception, or dance party. The Jackie Durrell Meeting Hall has a modern sound and projections system. The museum can accommodate up to 200 people for a seated presentation or 72 for a seated lunch or dinner. Kitchen facilities are available.
The stately Burr Mansion at the Burr Homestead in the heart of Fairfield's historic Old Post Road can accommodate both large and small gatherings and features large rooms, access to 4 acres of gardens and reflecting pools and full kitchen facilities. Also offering site rentals is the town Scandinavian Club with its Main Hall that can hold up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner. Its flat 2-acre property is also used for large events, and is a short walk to the beach. The Gaelic-American Club is also available for parties or fundraisers.
